How to save and print your home layout and moving inventory
Learn when to save your project as JSON, how to reopen it and how to produce a PDF summary. A guide to saving DUDA's moving tools.
After entering furniture, sizes and seedlings, it is important to keep the work in the appropriate format. In the DUDA utility, the project file allows you to resume the changes, while the print is used to consult or share the summary. The two results have different purposes. This guide explains which button to use and how to prepare a useful copy to organize the move.

Save the project to change it
“Save project on file” downloads a JSON document that contains the work data: inventory, rooms, position of the templates and any uploaded photos and maps. You don't have to open it and change it by hand. Store the file in a recognizable folder and use it later with the “Reopen Project” button.
The first version of the tool does not have a personal archive on the server. Leaving a browser tab open is not a reliable way to keep the job. Save after completing a room and before moving to the quote. If your browser shows a warning when you are about to go out, check that you have already downloaded an updated copy.
Open the file without losing the previous version
To continue, go back to the computer and select the project file from the device. The program checks that the content has a compatible structure before restoring it. An image, a printed PDF or document from another program cannot be reopened as a DUDA editable project.
The opening of a project replaces the one on the page. If you have already made changes you want to keep, save that version first. To compare two provisions, you can store two files with different names, such as “soggiorno-solution-A” and “soggiorno-solution-B”. The copies are independent: a change to the second does not automatically update the first.
Get the summary to print or save in PDF
“Stamp/Save PDF” opens the browser print window. From there you can choose a printer or the destination “Save as PDF”, if available in your system. Check the preview: the inventory, volumes and room seedlings must be readable. The margin, scale and sheet format options depend on the browser.
The PDF so obtained is a copy to read and share. It does not store the controls to drag the furniture or change the quantities. The JSON file is still needed to resume the project. If a page is cut in the preview, try the adaptation to the page and check the result before delivering it to the team. A comprehensible print is worth more than a small plan with unreadable names.
Switch from inventory to quote request
The dedicated button also downloads a TXT summary and opens the request form. When the browser allows the data to pass, you will find the command to insert the inventory into the property field. The insertion is explicit: check the text before sending and complete the data of the path, the contact details and the operational requirements.
If the summary is too long for the field or automatic passage is not available, use the TXT to prepare a synthesis and agree with DUDA how to provide the complete list. The photographs and seedlings remain in the project and are not automatically added to the quote. Attach only the relevant images in the form, using the required fields.
Share the right copy with the team
To explain where to place a furniture, use consistent room names and updated layout. The editable file serves those who want to continue designing; the print is more suitable for rapid control during the unloading. Avoid sending many versions at the same time without clarifying what is the final one.
Photos of the house and seedlings may contain personal information. Before sharing the full project, check what it includes and choose the correct recipient. To ask DUDA a quote of move in Milan is often useful from inventory and access conditions, adding the furniture layout when it is necessary to clarify the work of reassembly.
