In memory of Ruby

In memory of Ruby

She found a family. In her memory, we help those still waiting for one.

Ruby was my dog and part of my family. Since she passed away, I have wanted to turn my love for her into help for animals still waiting for a home.

Ruby's love lives on

Ruby was my dog and part of my family. We spent five years together, sharing everyday life and a bond I will always hold in my heart. On 30 October 2026 she passed away. Her absence has left a great emptiness in our family, and I miss her deeply. In these painful days, I decided to do something in her memory: help animals that have not yet been lucky enough to find a home.

Ruby had a family and our love. Many other dogs and cats are still waiting for someone to welcome them. I cannot bring her back, but I can turn the love I feel for her into practical help for them.

This wish led to “In memory of Ruby”. The project will begin with the Mariano Comense shelter, after agreeing the initiative with its manager, with the hope of helping other shelters over time.

DUDA's website tools will remain free. Anyone who finds them useful may choose to contribute through the shelter's official donation page. Donations will go directly to the beneficiary, without passing through DUDA's accounts. A public summary of donations to the Ruby project still requires a verified connection with the beneficiary.

This project is my way of remembering Ruby and continuing to care for those in need.

For Ruby, with love. For the others, with practical help.

A small thank-you can become practical help

Labels, the calendar and other DUDA tools remain free. Anyone who wishes may support the animals through the shelter's official channels. Donating is always optional: there is no charge to download, print or keep using the tools.

Help those who cannot thank you with words, but can with a look.

A small gesture can support animals waiting for a family. Gli Amici del Randagio E.T.S. provides ways to help the Mariano Comense shelter on its website. As well as financial donations, the association lists food and care materials that are needed: agree what to bring with the shelter before delivering anything.

Open the official page to see available methods, including PayPal, card and bank transfer, and choose how to contribute. The beneficiary's published instructions are the current ones.

Donate to the shelter on its official website ↗

Donations take place on the beneficiary's website or through its contact details. DUDA retains no share and receives no payment details. Clicking the button does not confirm a donation or update a public register.

The shelter and practical support

After meeting the manager, we will add the operator's name, official contacts, authorised photographs and the animals' needs.

The shelter will provide dated updates on how support is used. The total donations received and reports of how they are spent will remain separate information.

Clear answers

Will DUDA receive or retain part of my donation?

The project is based on direct payments to the beneficiary, without passing through DUDA's accounts or incurring a DUDA fee. Any payment-provider costs will be stated.

Will Michele be able to add amounts to the counter?

We do not plan this feature. Data must come automatically from verified sources. The current page has no editable counter, record of amounts or panel for entering donations.

Will the summary update every day?

This is a requirement for activation: daily reconciliation and, where available, immediate confirmation updates. The last successful synchronisation will always be shown. Any problems will trigger a warning that the data is not up to date.

How will people be able to check the data?

The public record must be comparable with statements from the beneficiary or payment provider. Independent checking by the shelter is essential: a number shown only on DUDA's website is not enough to ensure transparency.

Can I use the tools without donating?

Yes, always. The tools are free and participation in the project will be voluntary.
