A room-by-room moving inventory: how to prepare it
List furniture, boxes and items for storage by room. Record measurements, quantities, photos and a summary to accompany your DUDA quote enquiry.
A useful inventory describes what needs to be moved in a comprehensible way for those who prepare the quote and for those who do the job. Splitting the house for environments makes the control easier and reduces the risk of forgetting objects in the basement, balcony or storage room. Make a full round before completing
Start from a room and finish the control of that environment before moving on to the next. Note furniture, household appliances, already prepared boxes and special items. Avoid descriptions like “all the living room”: a living room can include a simple library or a wall equipped with many parts, glasses and fixations.
Also check the premises used less often. Tools, suitcases, shelves and materials stored in the cellar can add several packages to the list. If you have not yet decided what to bring, prepare a selection first: mixing goods to be transferred and goods to be left makes uncertain both the volume and the required work. Update the list when the decision becomes final.
Create rows that you can control
In the calculator, select an object from the catalogue or use the generic item and write a precise name. “Armadio camera a tre ante” is more useful than “big device”. Enter external measurements and quantity. Group multiple objects in the same row only when they have similar sizes and features; very different boxes require distinct rows.
Indicates the state of preparation: whole, to be dismantled or already packed or disassembled. For a furniture turned into multiple packs, use the measurements of the packages if they are available and remove the old voice of the entire furniture to avoid double counting. The photographs are optional and help to show shape and conditions, but do not replace a measure or explanation on the requested service.
Distingui new house and store
For each element you can indicate the destination. The goods destined for the new home will be available in the 2D designer; those destined for the deposit will remain in the inventory and calculation of the volume, without appearing in the list of furniture to be placed. The total therefore describes all the goods inserted, not only those that immediately arrive in the house.
If similar objects have different destinations, separate them in two rows. For example, five boxes can go to the new house and three more in storage. This distinction must also appear on the actual labels of the packages. A well-organized digital list loses utility if packages are not recognizable or mixed without indications.
Check the list together with the mover
Re-read the inventory with all the people involved. Check that the inserted goods are still present, that the quantities of the boxes are updated and that no objects have been added after the last site visit. Use the summary per room as a check, without considering it as an automatic confirmation of the price or time needed.

Store a recognizable version
Use a clear project name and save the editable file before closing the page. You can rename the downloaded copy with a reference to the house and revision, avoiding unnecessary personal data. It also retains a print of the summary for the day of the move and communicates which version is the final one.
The inventory prepared in the instrument is an organizational basis. It is not automatically equivalent to a delivery report, an economic evaluation of the goods or an insurance document.
