Weekend office moves: checking access
Choosing the weekend for the move of the office can reduce overlap with some business activities. However, it does not mean that building, suppliers and spaces are available automatically. The program must be built on the actual opening conditions of the two premises.
Check who opens and who remains
Check who owns the keys and who can manage alarms, gates and secondary inputs. A person present at the beginning may not be available for the entire duration of work. You will then expect a clear cover until the property is closed.
If the seat is in a shared building, it agrees to the use of common spaces with the competent representative. Do not assume that the procedures of working days also apply when concierge or technical management are not present.
Check the equipment required at the move
Lifts, lifts and lighting of the operating areas must be available in the agreed range. Collect information on how to use and limit the plant through those who manage the building. The presence of an accessible button does not allow to use any equipment.
If an entrance requires assistance of the internal staff, enter it into the floor. Discover only on arrival that a gate remains closed can make unusable the handling route prepared during the site visit.
Coordinating technicians and related deliveries
Verify the actual availability of professionals needed for disconnection, rehabilitation or control. The move team can move the agreed assets, but does not automatically replace the absent technician.
Organize the activities in the correct sequence. Furniture that support the equipment must be ready before installation, while the devices must be delivered for transport only after the planned technical preparation. The weekend calendar must report these dependencies.
Prepare a plan for Monday
Define which environments and locations must be available when shooting and which can wait. The objective must be described in a concrete way: furnishings placed, packages delivered, complete fittings and technical checks have different meanings.
See a referee to collect observations when colleagues are involved. Not all requests that emerged on Monday necessarily concern transport: some may depend on choices of disposition or reactivation activities still planned.
Ask for a proposal with all conditions
For a DUDA assessment, please indicate desired dates, quantities, locations and accesses available on weekends. It also signals permissions or agreements still to be obtained. The availability of the service and the economic conditions must be confirmed on the specific proposal. A weekend organized well depends on the preparation of the premises and the presence of the referents, not only on the choice of a day when the desks are normally empty.
