Televisions and monitors: protection, cables and accessories
Screens and monitors require attention especially on surfaces, edges and support points. The available material should be evaluated before the day of the move: a blanket around the TV does not solve all protection problems alone.
Collect information and photograph links
Note model and size, then photograph the connections before disconnecting the devices. The images are used to recognize doors and cables, not to replace the manual. If the device is fixed to a wall or integrated into a structure, it agrees who will take care of the dismantling and what skills will be necessary.
Keep separate power supplies, remote controls and small adapters, identifying them with the device name. A similar-looking power supply is not necessarily interchangeable. For the equipment used in the work, it also plans the moment of shutdown and resumption, without leaving these decisions to the loading stage.
Consider the original packing
If you have kept the original packaging, check that there are also inserts and that are intact. The only external cardboard, without the elements expected to hold the screen, may not offer the desired support. Also check that the package belongs to that model and not to a device replaced in the past.
When the original packaging is missing, it communicates the situation before the site visit or the organization of the withdrawal. A protection compatible with the device and the path must be assessed. Avoid improvised solutions that press on the panel, tapes applied on the screen or materials that can scratch the surface.
Manage removed media and components
Piedistalli, screws and brackets should not travel loose in the same screen protection. If they are removed, identify each component and store the fasteners in a closed box, which is clearly connected to the device. Do not paste a metal envelope directly against delicate surfaces.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for preparation and handling. The position allowed during transport and the points to be supported may depend on the model. If you do not have reliable indications, ask for a verification instead of adopting a generic rule found for a different television.
Prepare the new installation point
Before delivery, it locates a free zone where it temporarily supports the device with its packing. A room still full of mounting furniture is not the place to open a screen immediately. Measure the mobile device to support it and verify the compatibility of any media with the installer.
Open slowly, check that all accessories are present and store the material until the device is checked. Transport, assembly of a bracket and configuration of the connections are different activities: clarify which ones are included in the request. For computers and devices that keep data, the management of security copies remains an activity to be arranged separately with your contact person.
