Preparing space for furniture assembly
Mounting requires space even when the finished furniture only occupies a wall. Panels, equipment and packing materials must be managed in an orderly manner: preparing the room before delivery helps to avoid unnecessary displacement.
Distinguish final placement and work area
Mark on the plant where the furnishings will go and share the choice with those who will mount them. The space in front of the furniture must remain available for the necessary operations. Do not immediately fill that area with boxes only because it seems free at the time of delivery.
Some structures are assembled in a position other than the final one, according to the manufacturer's system. There is therefore no universal margin valid for each mobile. Ask which temporary encumbrances to consider, especially for high cabinets, container beds and compositions occupying a niche.
Organize necks per room and priority
Label the boxes with the target environment and indicate what they can wait in an agreed area. Keep the useful necks separate in the first day from those that should not be opened immediately. This prevents the search for linen or documents from interrupting the work continuously.
The components of the furniture must remain recognizable and close to the respective assembly area, according to the indications of the team. Do not move hardware panels or bags from one room to another to order without warning. A seemingly clean room can hide a loss of references.
Keep free passages and necessary surfaces
Prepare a continuous path between entrance and work premises. Mark new floors, delicate thresholds and special coatings, so protections can be evaluated before. Avoid overlapping at the move interventions that occupy the same corridor or prevent access to a room.
When handling, children and animals must stay away from operational areas. It agrees to a point where to collect packing materials without blocking doors and passageways. The removal of materials and any final management must be defined in the requested service, without considering them automatically included.
Establish the mounting order
Decide which environments must be used first. A bed necessary in the evening can have priority on a library, but the order must remain compatible with loads, accesses and work of the operators. Communicate this requirement before delivery, not when all components are already distributed.
Identify a contact person who can confirm the location of the furniture and answer questions. Different dates from more people slow the organization. At work done, check the rooms before you start filling the furniture: small clarifications are easier when the area is still free and the people in charge are present.
Allows you to find useful information, such as room plant and inventory. Do not close them in the last loaded box: who coordinates the job must be able to consult them while the furniture arrives.
