How to compare two moving quotes in Milan
Check that quotes cover the same work, from packing materials to reassembly and parking arrangements.
Compare the service perimeter first
Two amounts may refer to different jobs. Check that each offer contains the same addresses, the same furniture and the same activities. A freight and transport price is not equivalent to a service with packing and reassembly. Then start from the performance list, then compare the figures.
Control packing and materials
Ask who prepares the contents of the furniture and what materials are provided. Boxes, protections and wardrobe trunks can be provided or managed with different agreements. If you prepare the items, clarify how they have to be ready. Also check whether the collection of packaging in the new house also includes withdrawal and disposal or only their grouping.
Read the mounting item well
Locate which furniture will be disassembled and which will be reassembled. A kitchen can require adaptations or interventions on the plants that must be distinguished from the assembly of the furnishings. If the reassembly is entrusted to another supplier, please write it in your request. Operational responsibilities must be comprehensible before the start of work.
Access check, scale and stop
Check that the access plan and conditions are correct in both houses. If a furniture lift is expected, ask how it is considered in the offer and what checks are needed. When you need practices or charges to occupy the public space, clarify who manages them and whether they are included. Do not assume inclusion on the basis of a generic title as a full service.

An offer to forfeit indicates an amount for the defined performance; an hourly rate requires you to know number of operators, counted time and any minimum. See if the amounts include the VAT and how the deposit and balance are expected. Check also what happens when changing quantities, addresses or services: changes should be agreed before performing them.
Ask for clarification in writing
Send the same questions to those who have prepared the offers and keep the answers. Ask for information about the insurance cover applicable to work, without deducting it only from an advertisement. An understandable quote lets you know what to expect and what aspects remain to be confirmed. The choice can thus consider organization, clarity and price together.
