In the dedicated journey the service is organized for the agreed load of the customer. In the groupage the space and the path are coordinated with other compatible senders. Always ask what the proposal provides for: any stops, warehouse passes, intermediate discharges and management of the last section. The commercial name of the formula, alone, does not describe all these operations.

Write the dates before you have to free your house and those where you can receive the furniture. A large window on the card serves little if the foreign referent is only available one morning.

Measure the load you travel

An almost empty room can contain a few very bulky pieces; many well-organized boxes can instead occupy a regular space. Photograph open and closed furniture, indicates which elements are disassembled and signals objects that must remain entire. The evaluation also covers protection and provision of the load, not only external measures.

Adding a library after confirmation can change the groupage matching or the expected medium. Changes must be communicated before the withdrawal, along with the updated inventory.

Compare equivalent services

Compare the packing, dismantling, delivery to the floor, reassembly and pick up protections. Check if prices include the same addresses and accesses. A transport to the door does not coincide with the arrangement of the furniture in the rooms.

For fragile necks ask how they are identified and separated. For the groupage, a code of shipment readable on each neck is particularly useful; for the dedicated, however, a separate one is necessary to verify the load.

Manage arrival without surprises

Any presence of multiple deliveries requires a clear communication on updates. Agree who receives the arrival forecast and how much operational advance is needed to open the building or book the elevator. Do not confuse an indicative date with a confirmed appointment.

If the new house is not yet available, consider a deposit solution separately. The availability of the vehicle must not become the reason to deliver furniture in an unsuitable or unauthorized place.

What information to send to decide

For a DUDA assessment, it prepares departure and arrival cities, inventory, photographs, plans, lifts and calendar constraints. Add the indication of the indispensable objects immediately and of those that can arrive later.
